Hiphop was created as an antidote to gang violence - keep the fun, feel the true spirit - this is not the warriors. Peace to all. Fresh Jive ran from 1997-2000 as a weekly Saturday night at The Faversham, Leeds but had a four year gap till its re launch in 2004.

It is an extension of Bboy 10 Tonn's relentless community work with Breakers Unify around Yorkshire and beyond over the last ten years as a professional breakdance teacher and battler.

Combined with DJ T-Breaks they set out to give something back to Leeds, bring the community to the forefront and most of all entertain.

Fresh Jive is run by Bboys for Bboys and has attracted over 500 people per event for the last two years (on week days too).  These figures for a regular jam we think (and we have asked crews all over the world) cannot be beaten by any regular specialist bboy jam in Europe and maybe even the world.  Over the years guests such as DJ Craze, Roots Manuva, MC Supernatural, Blak Twang, Rawkus Records, Task Force, DJ Noise, The Scratch Perverts and more recently Skinnyman, Maxi Jazz and DJ Ease (Nightmares On Wax) have entertained.  We have had crews representing:

Def Dogz - Holland, The Floorlords - Boston USA, Creteil Style - France - Paris, Stadi 09 - Finland, Rapid Soul Movement - Italy, Psycho Styles - Scotland, Bad Taste - Ireland, Redbull Crew, as well as scores of UK crews.

Fresh Jive is the real Hip Hop deal - not a buy in.  We represent everyone from the streets to the students.

Fresh Jive is now taking a step forward to a weekend slot and continue its format of high profile breakdance battles, superstar guest DJS and MCs.
